We Are
A Peculiar People
Our church is comprised of people from many different backgrounds, cultures, ages and experiences on a lifelong journey following Jesus.
Together we are the body of Christ.
"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you." Jesus John 15:16 KJV
We Are
Fishers of Men
As a riverfront community how fitting that we should be called fishers of men! The Lord has called each one of us to cast out the nets and gather in the children of God.
"Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Jesus at the Sea of Galilee, Matthew 4:19 KJV
We Are
Built on the Rock
Jesus said we are to build our lives on his words. When the storms rage against us, we will have no need to fear, for we shall stand and not be destroyed.
"Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock." Jesus Matthew 7:24-25 KJV
Making Disciples
At Riverside we are an equipping church; being equipped so we can then equip others and together we may faithfully fulfill the Lord's command to make disciples of all nations.
Jesus said: "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Gospel of Matthew 28:18-20
